Responsibilities
- Academic (20% time):
- Assist with labs in physical examination, clinical skills, and observe and review standardized patient experiences with students.
- Facilitate small groups and workshops in interprofessional experiences for first- and second-year students.
- Assist with remediation of standardized patient experiences.
- Review and score SOAP notes.
- Review and assist with MWU student medical documentation for completion in rotation management system, including but not limited to pre-rotation physical examinations and vaccine attestations.
- Participate in admissions interviews for AZCOM.
- Serve on AZCOM committees as assigned.
- Clinical (80% time):
- See and treat assigned patients of all ages in the Multispecialty Clinic, including the Student Health Clinic.
- Teach students at the bedside as assigned and assess student learning.
- Participate in quality improvement and peer review.
- Engage in quality care programs and organize outreach for patient cohorts as assigned.
Qualifications/Education
- A Physician Assistant Degree and experience in Family or Internal Medicine.
- A license to practice in the State of Arizona, a DEA license, and be insurable for medical liability.
Computer Skills
- Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point).
- Ability to adapt to electronic health record input.
Physical Demands
- Sit.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
