Physician Assistant (Cardiology)

About the role

Full-time Physician Assistant (Cardiology) responsible for evaluating, treating, and coordinating patient care under physician supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient histories and physical examinations
• Provide outpatient and inpatient care
• Prescribe medications, including controlled substances
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Promote health and disease prevention
• Write clinical notes and facilitate consultations
• Prepare patients for procedures and coordinate in-hospital care plans
• Offer patient education and counseling
• Obtain informed consent for procedures
• Participate in quality assurance, peer reviews, and staff meetings

Requirements

• Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree with relevant experience
• Certification (PANCE)
• Valid state licensure
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex medical issues
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Adaptability to evolving clinical practices
• Cardiovascular experience preferred
• Must pass background checks and physical exam
• Adherence to vaccination policies

Additional Duties

• Ensure high-quality care and follow regulatory standards
• Work primarily on weekdays (no telework or virtual options)
