About the role
Full-time Physician Assistant (Cardiology) responsible for evaluating, treating, and coordinating patient care under physician supervision.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient histories and physical examinations
- Provide outpatient and inpatient care
- Prescribe medications, including controlled substances
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Promote health and disease prevention
- Write clinical notes and facilitate consultations
- Prepare patients for procedures and coordinate in-hospital care plans
- Offer patient education and counseling
- Obtain informed consent for procedures
- Participate in quality assurance, peer reviews, and staff meetings
Requirements
- Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree with relevant experience
- Certification (PANCE)
- Valid state licensure
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex medical issues
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Adaptability to evolving clinical practices
- Cardiovascular experience preferred
- Must pass background checks and physical exam
- Adherence to vaccination policies
Additional Duties
- Ensure high-quality care and follow regulatory standards
- Work primarily on weekdays (no telework or virtual options)
