About the Role
Join Visiting Physician Services (VPS) and make an impact through compassionate, patient-centered care. As part of the Parker Advanced Care Institute at VNA Health Group, our interdisciplinary team delivers comprehensive in-home medical care to older adults who are homebound, medically complex, or living with chronic conditions. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality care practices, focusing on symptom treatment and promoting the highest quality of life for patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Supports the organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of the job, with a focus on positive interpersonal relationships with co-workers.
- Assesses, diagnoses, and develops appropriate plans of care to treat homebound patients.
- Monitors the patient’s condition and responsiveness to treatment.
- Acts as an agency representative with patients, their families, and other health agencies, groups, and organizations.
- Participates in the organizational QAPI program and attends agency-sponsored in-service programs.
- Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies.
- Follows the organization’s policies regarding absenteeism and appearance.
Requirements
- Completion of a Physician Assistant (PA) accredited program.
- Licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) in NJ with prescriptive authority; maintain a CDS and DEA certification.
- National certification as a PA with AAPA.
- Experience providing care to adult or geriatric patients.
- 2+ years of Physician Assistant experience and/or significant experience as a registered nurse.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
Working Conditions
Work involves indoor/outdoor settings with client/customer contact, use of clinical equipment, and frequent use of phone and computer.
Pay
The total compensation range for this position is USD $60 to USD $72 per hour. When determining an offer, VNA Health Group considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, education/training, relevant skills, internal pay equity, and market and organizational conditions. The total compensation package includes base salary, overtime, bonuses, add-on incentives, special clinical compensation, retirement plans, and other benefits.
