Physician Assistant
KidsStreet Urgent Care is growing and seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to provide patient-focused care in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment. This role is ideal for PAs early in their career, including new graduates. We offer comprehensive on-site training, ongoing clinical support, and a complimentary pediatric urgent care CE course to help you succeed.
About the role
You will lead a small team while utilizing your full scope of practice to treat patients of all ages—from babies to geriatric patients. Our clinics serve rural communities with limited access to care, operating 362 days a year to provide affordable urgent care alternatives. Many of our locations qualify for state-funded tuition or student loan reimbursement grants, which we assist you in applying for.
This is a two-year commitment with long-term career growth opportunities, including leadership development and skill-building in a dynamic urgent care setting.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat illnesses such as cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues
- Perform minor procedures (e.g., toenail removal, foreign object removal)
- Suturing and splinting
- General orthopedic evaluations and management, including x-ray review (with radiologist over-read)
- General dermatology and eye problem assessments
- EKG interpretation
- Emergency management and general GYN care
- Pediatric care across all age groups
- Occupational medicine and telemedicine services
Schedule
Clinics are open 7 days a week with extended hours:
- Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday – Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Rotating schedule with every other weekend worked. Example:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (ON); Wednesday, Thursday (OFF)
- Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday (ON); Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (OFF)
Requirements
- Physician Assistant Board Certification (or eligibility for new graduates)
- Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field
- Willingness to obtain DOT certification (cost covered by employer)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office (preferred)
