Physician Assistant

Join MainStreet Family Care as a full-time Physician Assistant in Kinston, NC and receive an $11,000 sign-on bonus! We’re growing and seeking a fast, fun, and friendly PA to deliver patient-focused care across urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine.

About the role

The ideal candidate will lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent-care setting. This opportunity is perfect for PAs early in their career, including brand-new graduates. We provide on-site HQ orientation, training shifts with experienced providers, a complimentary pediatric urgent-care course, and 24/7 on-call support for clinical decision-making. You’ll practice your full scope of licensure—treating patients of all ages—and serve as a leader and role model for your medical-assistant team. Most clinics qualify for state-funded tuition-reimbursement or student-loan-reimbursement grants.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper-respiratory illnesses
• Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign-object removal, etc.)
• Suture wounds and apply splints
• Conduct general orthopedic evaluations and manage care
• Review x-rays (over-read by radiologist)
• Address general dermatology, eye problems, and EKG interpretations
• Provide emergency management and general GYN care
• Treat pediatric patients of all ages
• Deliver occupational-medicine and telemedicine services

Schedule

Clinics are open 362 days a year, 7 days a week:

• Monday–Friday: 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
• Saturday–Sunday: 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Rotating schedule that includes every other weekend. Sample rotation:

• Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (ON); Wednesday, Thursday (OFF)
• Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday (ON); Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (OFF)

Requirements

• Physician Assistant board certification (new graduates welcome)
• Master of Science in Nursing or higher
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain it (cost covered by employer)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office suite preferred
