Physician Assistant

KidsStreet Urgent Care is growing and seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to provide patient-focused care in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment. This role offers the opportunity to utilize your full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages—from babies to geriatric patients. Ideal for PAs early in their career, including new graduates (even those who haven’t taken boards yet).

About the Role

Following a hosted HQ orientation and on-site training shifts, you’ll work alongside experienced providers. Ongoing support includes a complimentary pediatric urgent care course, a provider on-call for clinical decision-making, and unmatched career development resources. This is a two-year commitment with long-term benefits, including potential tuition or student loan reimbursement grants for serving rural communities.

You’ll lead a small team of medical assistants, acting as a professional role model while leveraging treatment protocols to guide best practices. Clinics operate 362 days a year, ensuring access to care for underserved areas.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat conditions such as cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues
• Perform minor procedures (e.g., toenail removal, foreign object removal)
• Suture wounds and apply splints
• Conduct general orthopedic evaluations and manage care
• Review x-rays (with radiologist over-read)
• Address general dermatology, eye problems, and EKG interpretations
• Provide emergency management and general GYN care
• Treat children of all ages and handle occupational medicine cases
• Deliver telemedicine services

Schedule

Clinics are open extended hours, 7 days a week:

• Monday–Friday: 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
• Saturday–Sunday: 9:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.

Rotating schedule includes every other weekend. Sample rotation:

• Week 1: Monday (ON), Tuesday (ON), Wednesday (OFF), Thursday (OFF), Friday (ON), Saturday (ON), Sunday (ON)
• Week 2: Monday (OFF), Tuesday (OFF), Wednesday (ON), Thursday (ON), Friday (OFF), Saturday (OFF), Sunday (OFF)

Requirements

• Physician Assistant Board Certification (or eligibility for new graduates)
• MSN or higher education
• Willingness to obtain DOT certification (cost covered by employer)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office (preferred)
