Physician Assistant

About the role

We are seeking progressive and entrepreneurial Full-Time Physician Assistants with adult and pediatric experience to join our welcoming and diverse community of Northwell providers in our Nassau County Urgent Care Centers!

Responsibilities

• Treatment of all ages (6 months and older)
• Minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.)
• Reading EKGs and X-rays
• Assisting with patient care under the supervision of a physician
• Collaborating with a team of Rad Techs and Medical Assistants
• Maintaining patient records and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations

Requirements

• PA 2 or more years of Full-Time experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting
• Comfortable with minor procedures and reading EKGs and X-rays

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York State
• Passing score on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE/PAX)

• Excellent communication skills
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems
