Physician Assistant

About the role

We are seeking progressive and entrepreneurial Full-Time Physician Assistants with adult and pediatric experience to join our welcoming and diverse community of Northwell providers in our Nassau County Urgent Care Centers.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in accordance with physician orders
• Perform minor procedures under supervision
• Assist with diagnostic tests and readings
• Manage patient records and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams
• Participate in professional development activities

Requirements

• PA 2 or more years of full-time experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting treating all ages (6 months and older)
• Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.)
• Ability to read EKGs and X-rays

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of New York
• Passing score on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE/PAX)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay

$68/hour - $89/hour (experience-based range)

Schedule

Flexible scheduling options: a larger pool of providers makes it easier to trade or pick up extra shifts.
