Physician Assistant
About the role
We are seeking progressive and entrepreneurial Full-Time Physician Assistants with adult and pediatric experience to join our welcoming and diverse community of Northwell providers in our Nassau County Urgent Care Centers.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
- Perform minor procedures under supervision.
- Review and interpret EKGs and X-rays as needed.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
- Take patient vitals and review medications.
- Apply splints and assist with patient comfort.
- Collaborate with Rad Techs and Medical Assistants for additional support.
- Maintain a high level of patient satisfaction and care coordination.
Requirements
- PA 2 or more years of full-time experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting treating all ages (6 months and older).
- Comfortable with minor procedures, reading EKGs and X-rays.
Qualifications
Must be licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of New York.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).

Pay
$68/hour - $89/hour (experience-based range)
Schedule
Flexible scheduling options with a larger pool of providers making it easier to trade or pick up extra shifts.
