Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Spending 100% of time in the onsite clinic providing direct patient care, leading by example, and creating an exceptional patient experience.
- Ensuring day-to-day execution of Concentra's clinical model, collaborating with members of the healthcare team to drive optimal clinical outcomes.
- Maintaining key onsite clinic metrics that relate to quality outcomes, including advanced primary care and occupational medicine.
- Managing chronic conditions, gaps in care, preventive health, age-appropriate screenings, vaccinations, social determinants of health, wellness initiatives, clinic utilization, and patient satisfaction.
- Implementing timely return to work measures after injuries on the job, managing case durations, lost time, work duty status, and improving functional capacity.
- Compiling medical histories, conducting physical exams, diagnosing, and developing appropriate treatment plans.
- Administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory tests.
- Maintaining detailed patient records and paperwork, interpreting diagnostic test results, and performing therapeutic procedures like injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound care.
- Providing instructions and counseling on patient compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
Education/Credentials
- Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree
- Major: Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
- Education Details: Bachelors’ degree in related health field from an accredited college or university.
- Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program).
- Certifications and/or Licenses: Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE); current licensed physician assistant in the state where employed and in accordance with state laws of practice.
- Maintaining work state physician assistant licensure throughout the course of employment.
Experience
- No Continuing education is required to maintain license and to perform job.
- Customarily has at least three years of demonstrated experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or an emergency setting.
