About the role

Responsible for Physician and Advanced Practice Provider (APP) recruitment activities for Henry Ford Health (HFH), including sourcing, screening, and delivering qualified, diverse candidates such as Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, and Midwives.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in full recruitment activities: candidate identification, sourcing, interviewing, marketing, advertising, reporting, and maintaining Provider searches.
  • Utilizes various recruitment methods (HFH website, Provider career websites, advertising, direct mail, telemarketing, career fairs, databases).
  • Generates qualified candidates through direct/indirect sourcing, online job postings, training programs, networking, social media, referrals, and professional medical associations.
  • Initiates cold calling of potential Provider candidates and performs targeted email campaigns.
  • Works with system, regional, and medical leaders to create, maintain, and update HFH Provider opportunities.
  • Develops and maintains recruitment data/reports to track efforts and placements, ensuring accuracy in information systems.
  • Recruits from internal and external Provider training programs, building relationships with program coordinators nationwide.
  • Collaborates with leadership to improve sourcing, recruiting, and placement processes.
  • Manages social media content and responses (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn).
  • Coordinates and participates in Provider career fairs, recruiting events, and medical conferences.
  • Reviews and evaluates Provider CVs, conducts initial screening assessments, and presents candidates to leadership.
  • Facilitates site visits, including travel arrangements, itineraries, virtual interviews, and benefit overviews.
  • Assists with credentialing documentation (references, background checks, license verification).
  • Maintains knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, HFH compliance programs, and ethical standards.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field and minimum 2 years of APP or healthcare recruiting experience.
  • In lieu of Bachelor’s Degree: Associate’s Degree and 4 years of APP or healthcare recruiting experience.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with knowledge of medical/surgical clinical specialty areas.
  • Advanced computer proficiency (Windows, email, internet, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation software).
  • Experience with social media platforms.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and networking skills, especially with physicians and leadership.
