Physician - Advanced Cardiac Imaging

About the role

The Cardiology Section at VA Boston Healthcare System (VABHS) invites applications for a full-time position as an Advanced Cardiac Imaging Cardiologist.

Responsibilities

• Participate in advanced cardiac imaging studies such as cardiac CT, coronary CT angiography, cardiac MRI, and nuclear cardiac imaging (SPECT and PET).
• Work with the Radiology program to advise on acquisition of the studies and coordinate cardiac reports with other Cardiologists.
• Read echocardiography studies and provide clinical support in general cardiology inpatient and outpatient services.
• Teach residents and cardiovascular disease fellows.

Requirements

• Completed formal training in advanced cardiac imaging.
• Track record in research in cardiac imaging or an equivalent academic area.
• Academic appointment at Harvard Medical School (HMS) as Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor commensurate with experience and accomplishments.

Qualifications

• United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
• Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
• Completed residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
• Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease preferred.
• Subspecialty Certification in Advanced Cardiac Imaging through CBCCT, Certification Board of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CBCMR), Certified Board of Nuclear Cardiology (CBNC).
