Physician Administrator 2 NCI (Medical)

What You’ll Do

  • Work collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to administer treatment for patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting utilizing an electronic health record system
  • Conduct exams, and write evaluations and reports
  • Order and interpret diagnostic testing
  • Manage medication
  • Complete reclassifications and other reviews as indicated
  • Make referrals for specialized care or treatment
  • Perform duties in accordance with scope of practice; ODRC policies, procedures, protocols; and related American Correctional Association standards
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews
  • Engage in collaborative agreements, as needed
  • Determine the need for specialty consults
  • Attend professional meetings
  • Manage on-call schedule
  • Provide or share responsibilities of off-site 24-hour emergency telephone call coverage as needed (provision of on-call services are included as part of the normal job duties and do not garner extra compensation)
  • Provide clinical supervision of all providers, ensuring that care is provided in accordance with ODRC policy and procedure and meets community standards
