About the role

Kaua'i Medical Clinic is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our Physician Billing team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that billing and collection processes are handled efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Enter complete, timely, and accurate physician billing data into the Accounts Receivable System
  • Process accurate refunds to patients and third party payers
  • Follow up on accounts receivable
  • Make necessary corrections to charges

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six (6) months of experience in medical billing or collections
  • Demonstrated experience/knowledge of health insurance claim filing requirements for third party payers and knowledge of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and International Classification of Diseases (ICD) codes

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $26.24 - $27.62 per hour.

Schedule

This is a full-time regular FTE position with an 8-hour workday.

Location

The position is based at Kaua'i Medical Clinic in Kauai, Hawaii.

Category

This is an Administrative role.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six (6) months of experience in medical billing or collections
  • Demonstrated experience/knowledge of health insurance claim filing requirements for third party payers and knowledge of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and International Classification of Diseases (ICD) codes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Business or Health Care Administration
  • Medical terminology course
