About the role

The Department of Nephrology at the Ochsner Medical Center (OMC) in New Orleans, Louisiana is seeking full-time BC/BE Academic Nephrologist to join its growing practice.

Responsibilities

  • Direct patient care across the spectrum of a tertiary care for a Nephrology practice.
  • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in clinical research programs.
  • Eligible for an academic appointment from Ochsner Clinical School.
  • Enroll over 100 medical students per year and affiliated with prestigious The University of Queensland (Australia).
  • Offer the successful candidate the opportunity to teach medical students, residents, and fellows, and to participate in clinical research programs to enhance the quality and safety of patient care in a large multispecialty academic group practice setting.

Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible NEPHROLOGIST.
  • More than 36,000 employees and over 4,600 employed and affiliated physicians in over 90 medical specialties and subspecialties.
  • Operates 47 hospitals and more than 370 health and urgent care centers across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the Gulf South.
