Physician - 10 Month
Job Summary
The physician provides general medical care to students as assigned. Key responsibilities include serving as a mentor and resource consultant, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships, and performing medical and surgical procedures.
Key Qualifications
- Ability to serve as a mentor and resource consultant for other health center personnel
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of medical practitioners and specialists, as well as students, administrators, staff, and faculty
- Hands-on experience with electronic health records and the ability to adapt use to various e-programs as required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Recognition (CPR)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that are used daily with all teams members
- Demonstrated ability to practice medicine, perform minor surgery, perform pelvic examinations and other procedures relevant to this student population
Education And Experience
- Graduation from a medical school recognized by the Medical Board of California
- Completion of one or more residency programs in a primary care field such as family medicine, general internal medicine, gynecology, general pediatrics, emergency medicine, preventive medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or equivalent

Pay
Initial appointment will be on a 12 month pay plan (salary range: $15,000 – $17,500 per month) from the date of hire through the end of the July 2026 pay period. At the beginning of the August pay period, the appointment will change to an 10/12 pay plan whereby the incumbent will work 10 months per year and are paid 12 months (10/12) with each subsequent June and July off.
