About the role
The technician is present to assist the licensed personnel in patient care duties, the office manager in all office activities and to be the primary responsible party for all light housekeeping duties.
Responsibilities
- Aid Therapist with daily patient therapy treatment utilizing skills certified or trained by the PT/OT and not considered PT/OT skilled activities.
- Maintain linen supply in Facility.
- Organize equipment and supplies needed for treatments.
- Straighten and maintain physical order in department.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with patients and physicians.
- Monitor supply inventory and report reorder needs to Supervisor.
- Report need for equipment repairs to Supervisor.
- Ensure a safe and clean facility including physical plant and equipment maintenance and supply inventory upkeep.
- Assume any other responsibilities assigned by the Director or Administrator of Physical Therapy.
- Support Front Office Coordinator in managing patient arrival and departure, answering phones, scheduling, and collecting copays.
Qualifications
- High School diploma required.
- CPR certification recommended.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with both patients and physicians.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to accurately document information for billing purposes.
- Computer experience preferred.
