Physical Therapy Technician

About the role

Team Rehab is a network of therapist-owned outpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy clinics in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Georgia. Our mission is to provide the best outpatient therapy with a focus on patient satisfaction and measurable health improvements. Since opening our first clinic in 2001, we have expanded across five states and continue to grow to improve therapy accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing high-quality treatment and ensure patients are prepared and comfortable for therapy
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and provide encouragement to patients
• Follow the plan of care established by the therapist
• Assist therapists with non-clinical tasks to support patient success
• Educate patients on equipment use and ensure safe, correct usage
• Assist patients with light exercises and strengthening techniques
• Assist in applying therapeutic modalities such as heat/ice packs and electrical stimulation
• Help patients ambulate safely between areas using proper techniques
• Ensure clear communication with patients, physicians, staff, and care team members
• Maintain a professional and pleasant relationship with patients and colleagues
• Prepare and maintain clean, organized treatment areas
• Sanitize all equipment after each use
• Observe and record patient progress or changes for the Physical Therapist
• Report to the clinic director and perform additional assigned tasks

Qualifications

• No required education or prior experience necessary
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ideal candidate is pursuing a physical therapist or other health care degree
• Committed to Team Rehab’s initiative of making Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) a priority
