Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services within individual scope of clinical competence, including examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, development and implementation of a plan of care, direct intervention, communication, collaboration, patient education, and evaluation of outcomes.
• Uphold professional standards and promote quality in practice.
• Manage full physical therapy care for patients, maintain clinical competency, and develop advanced clinical skills.
• Supervise and teach physical therapy students and share expertise with staff and students.
• Participate in the development of physical therapy roles throughout the health system and community.
• Supervise students during clinical fieldwork.
• Handle administrative tasks related to patient care and ensure regulatory and organizational compliance.
• Serve as administrative backup in the absence of the Coordinator, Assistant Director, or Director.
• Act as a positive team influencer and resource for clinical specialty, administrative tasks, and projects.
• Direct Patient Care: Time spent with patients, including all direct interventions and patient education integrated into treatment sessions.
• Indirect Patient Care (IPC): Time spent on chart review, documentation, scheduling, attending team or family meetings, ordering equipment, and assisting other staff.
• Assist with identified projects for the team, department, or organization.
• Provide clinical resources for other therapy staff.
• Engage in academic and clinical teaching, including daily sheets, case presentations, staff meetings, committee meetings, and in-services.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Illinois from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation at time of employment.
• Three (3) years (36 months) of professional clinical experience with a minimum of two years in their clinical specialty area.
• Possession of a current/valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support CPR Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing physical therapy services in an Emergency Department setting, or a combination of inpatient and outpatient care with a focus on urgent or same-day care management.
• Experience or training with the vestibular population.

Pay

$81,931.20 - $157,310.40 / Annual Salary (commensurate with experience)

Schedule

40 hours per week, day shift
