Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Per Diem Days

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital- TriCities is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) are integral in delivering compassionate, high-quality care throughout the recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist (PT).
• Transport patients as needed and assist with therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
• Implement and assist with treatment plans and programs as outlined by the PT.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices.
• Support the PT in achieving patients' long-term goals through various modalities such as strengthening, coordination, balance, posture, endurance, cardiac, functional skills, and community re-entry training.
• Contribute to the overall well-being of patients by ensuring they receive comprehensive, compassionate care.

Requirements

• Valid state PTA license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
