Key Responsibilities
- Carry out treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
- Assist residents with therapeutic exercises and mobility training.
- Document patient progress and communicate with the therapy team.
- Ensure safety and effectiveness of therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with nursing and rehab staff to support resident goals.
Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant required.
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment
Skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, hospital, or outpatient clinic. May involve prolonged standing, lifting, and assisting patients with mobility.
