About the role

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Skilled Nursing Facility located in Monterey, CA 93940. Contract position for 13 weeks, day shift. We are seeking a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team at Cypress Ridge Care Center in Monterey, California. The ideal candidate will have an active California PTA license and a passion for helping patients improve mobility, strength, and independence in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation interventions as directed by the physical therapist.
• Help patients improve mobility, balance, strength, and functional independence.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising physical therapist.
• Maintain accurate patient treatment records and documentation.
• Follow facility policies, safety protocols, and applicable professional standards.

Requirements

• Active California Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license required.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) preferred.
• Knowledge of NetHealth (Rehab Optima) preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, and patient-care skills.
