Role: The Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to enhance patient well-being, following the established plan of care under supervision. Responsibilities Adhere to state laws governing physical therapy in home care and perform only qualified procedures under supervision.Instruct and assist patients with exercises, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising PT and healthcare team.Educate patients, families, caregivers, and team members within scope of practice.Function effectively in diverse home environments, regardless of client demographics. Qualifications & Skills Current license, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy in the state.Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, or access to transportation.Availability for weekend rotations.Preferred: CPR certification, physical ability for patient mobility tasks.
