Responsibilities

  • Administer Treatment Plans: Implement physical therapy treatment plans as developed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Treatment Modalities: Provide non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, massage, traction, and various modalities (heat, light, cold, water, and electrical) to patients.
  • Document Patient Care: Accurately document daily, weekly, or monthly records of patient care and submit clinical paperwork to the office on time each week.
  • Educational Participation: Attend educational meetings and coordinate and contribute to department in-services.
  • Report Issues: Notify the Physical Therapist or Executive Director of equipment failures, supply shortages, staff or patient changes, and other departmental issues.
  • Scheduling and Office Tasks: Schedule patients and perform various office tasks.
  • Infection Control: Apply infection control and universal precautions principles during patient care activities.
  • Clinical Assignments: Accept clinical assignments that match education and competence levels.
  • Promote Compliance: Promote compliance with fiscal intermediaries and third-party payors through education, coaching, and other assistance as necessary.

Required Experience/Skills

  • Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association accredited program.
  • Current state license to practice Physical Therapy.
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Current CPR certification.
