Role: Physical Therapy Assistant providing in-home care to clients, primarily former Nuclear Weapons Workers with chronic or terminal illnesses. Responsibilities Include Conducting weekly in-home therapy visits lasting 1-2 hours.Delivering physical therapy services and education per the physician’s plan of care.Documenting services, observations, progress, and recommendations promptly.Reporting changes or concerns to supervising therapists or nursing staff.Participating in interdisciplinary team activities and client care conferences.Promoting safety, infection control, and confidentiality in all tasks.Engaging in ongoing professional development and agency quality improvement activities.Adhering to all policies, standards, and regulations, including privacy and safety protocols. Qualifications Current license, registration, or certification as a PT Assistant, with eligibility to take the exam if needed.Graduate of an accredited PTA program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.At least six months of PTA experience.Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and insurance coverage.
