Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
Shift: Part-time, Tuesdays 8am–3:30pm, Wednesdays 8am–2:30pm, Thursdays 8am–3:30pm (20 hours per week)
Location: Homestead, PA
About the role
Our Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy services to older adults (age 55+) under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist. This position will implement, as directed, components of participant interventions (treatment), obtain data related to the interventions provided, and make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the participant as directed by the Physical Therapist and/or to ensure the participant’s safety and comfort. The PTA will work with the team to develop group and individual programs for maintenance to our participants and will perform assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Implement components of participant interventions (treatment) under the direction of the Physical Therapist
- Obtain and document data related to interventions provided
- Modify interventions to progress participants or ensure safety and comfort
- Collaborate with the team to develop group and individual maintenance programs
- Perform duties in compliance with federal, state, and company regulations and policies
Requirements
- Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)
- Valid Physical Therapist Assistant indirect supervision license in the state of Pennsylvania
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s license
Qualifications
- One year of experience working with the frail or elder population is highly preferred
