Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Pay

Internal Hires: Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.
External Hires: This position starts at $33.50 per hour. rep placement and rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides selected physical therapy interventions only under the supervision and direction of a physical therapist.
  
• Treats patients with pain and movement disorders using exercise and modalities to restore normal movement and function in accordance to the physician’s referral.
  
• Supports Bartlett Regional Hospital’s strong commitment to the highest standards of business and professional ethics.
  
• Follows professional standards of APTA.
  
• Works as a team member to meet patient and departmental goals.
  
• May be trained in other settings or skillsets including but not limited to: inpatient acute care, outpatient adult care, outpatient pediatrics, wound care, home health, and skilled nursing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an APTA approved School for Physical Therapy Assistants.
  
• Completes annual educational requirements.
  
• One (1) year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience preferred.
  
• Experience working with diverse populations including acute inpatient, CCU, rehab, pediatrics and outpatient orthopedic services.
