About the role
As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you will work closely with our experienced therapy team to provide high-quality physical therapy services to our residents.
Responsibilities
- Assisting physical therapists with patient evaluations, treatments, and documentation
- Implementing treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
- Providing patient education and training on proper body mechanics and exercises
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment
- Collaborating with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Missouri
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating demands
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
