Physical Therapy Assistant - Outpatient Rehab Services

Role Overview

Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment programs, administering modalities, training patients in therapeutic exercises, transfers, and gait training. Support high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment and may supervise Physical Therapy Aides, volunteers, and students. Demonstrate professional growth, adapt to various work settings, and provide community education aligned with hospital programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify problems and develop treatment plans based on initial evaluations.
• Ensure continuity of care through accurate documentation and communication.
• Safely transfer patients with significant impairments.
• Support department goals with flexible work practices.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associates Degree; new graduates considered, with preference for two years of experience.
• Licensed PTA and BLS certification.
• Strong communication, confidentiality, crisis management, and customer service skills.
• Proficient in electronic health records and MS Office applications.
