PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT - OUTPATIENT REHAB SERVICES

Responsibilities

• Assists the physical therapist in implementing treatment programs according to the plan of care.
• Administers modalities as directed.
• Trains patients in therapeutic exercise, transfers, and gait training.
• Supports the Beebe Medical Center mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an efficient manner.
• May supervise Physical Therapy Aides, volunteers, and students.

Qualifications

• Will consider a new graduate.
• Two years Physical Therapy Assistant experience preferred.
• Adequate computer skills to achieve accurate billing and documentation.
• Ability to correctly identify problems and develop a treatment plan at conclusion of the initial evaluation.
• Emphasizes and achieves continuity of care through effective documentation and verbal communication.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Able to effectively and safely transfer patients with significant physical and/or mental impairment.
• Able to respond to Specific Task Requests.
• Demonstrates Clinical Competence.

Skills

• Clear Communication Skills (Written and Verbal).
• Able to Keep Confidential Information Regarding Patients, Team Members.
• Able to Withstand Crisis Situations.
• Has Skills to Provides Customer Service to Patients, Team Members and Visitors.
• Knowledge and Experience with Electronic Health Records.
• Experience with Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio, etc.

Requirements

• Pta - Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Bls - Basic Life Saving certification.
• Essential: Associates Degree from an entry level university.
• Entry USD $24.62/Hr.
• Max USD $38.16/Hr.
