PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT - OUTPATIENT REHAB SERVICES

Role Overview

Assists licensed Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans, administering modalities, training patients in therapeutic exercises, transfers, and gait training. Supports high-quality patient care and may supervise aides, volunteers, and students.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates professional growth, adapts to various settings, provides community education, and develops treatment plans after initial evaluations.
• Ensures continuity of care through effective documentation and communication.
• Maintains a professional appearance and safely transfers patients with impairments.
• Responds effectively to task requests and demonstrates clinical competence.

Qualifications & Skills

• Open to new graduates; two years of PTA experience preferred.
• Must possess clear communication, confidentiality, crisis management, customer service, and electronic health record skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
• Credentials include PTA certification and BLS certification.

Education requirement

An Associate's Degree is required.

Compensation

$24.62 to $38.16 per hour.
