About the role

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our outpatient Physical Therapy team in Coeur d'Alene (CDA). This position offers a Monday through Thursday schedule with no weekends or holidays.

Our physical therapy team provides comprehensive, patient-centered care that assesses each patient’s strengths and weaknesses to devise effective team-based treatment plans in accordance with the physician’s orders.

Responsibilities

  • Administer treatment programs under PT direction with specific goals defined by patient’s capacity and tolerance, and in accordance with established pre-op and post-op spine protocols.
  • Educate patients about biomechanics, exercises, and injury prevention to promote wellness.
  • Communicate with patients, team members, the director of physical therapy, and physicians to ensure a consistent level of care.
  • Complete daily documentation on existing patients within the workday.
  • Participate in monthly staff meetings and marketing assignments as directed by the PT director.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current and unrestricted licensure in the state of Idaho or actively in the application process.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Understand and adhere to federal confidentiality regulations.
