About the role
The Physical Therapy Assistant role at Franklin Hospital assists in the provision of physical therapy interventions to patients/clients with impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes.
Responsibilities
- Aids in the assessment of patient/client physical condition and develops treatment plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Administers prescribed physical therapy treatments and exercises to improve mobility, strength, and function.
- Monitors patient/client progress and reports changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Ensures patient/client safety and comfort during therapy sessions.
Requirements
- Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as a Physical Therapy Assistant required or in compliance with the state practice act.
- Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
- One year of clinical experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an APTA accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
