Physical Therapy Assistant FT

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital that provides inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) are integral in delivering compassionate and excellent treatment throughout the recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Transportation of patients to and from therapy sessions
• Implementation of treatment goals, plans, and programs as directed by the physical therapist (PT)
• Auxiliary role in therapeutic interventions aimed at meeting patient's long-term goals, such as strengthening, coordination, balance, and pain relief
• Training patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices

Requirements

• Valid state PTA license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Passion for patient-centered care

Skills

• Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and modalities
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Pay

The pay range for this position is $45,000 - $65,000 annually.

Schedule

This position is full-time, Monday through Friday.
