Physical Therapy Assistant

About the role

The Physical Therapy Assistant, PTA, LPTA position at Cornerstone Rehabilitation is available on a PRN (per diem) basis. This role supports the rehabilitation team in providing patient care under the supervision of licensed physical therapists.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with exercises and activities of daily living
• Help prepare treatment areas and equipment
• Document patient progress and treatment sessions accurately
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or Licensed Physical Therapist Associate (LPTA)
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Proficient in using medical terminology
• Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology
• Ability to follow safety protocols
