About the role
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) or Licensed Practical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) position at Cornerstone Rehabilitation is a part-time role available on a PRN (Per Request) basis. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and a passion for helping patients recover and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in providing patient care
- Perform therapeutic exercises under supervision
- Help maintain patient records and documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients and families
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) or Licensed Practical Therapist Assistant (LPTA)
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Passing score on the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE)
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and anatomy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
