Overview
Sentara Therapy Center Blocker is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant in Norfolk, Virginia. This is a Full-time, Day shift opportunity with great benefits.
The hours of operation for the center are: 7:30 am – 6:00 pm on Mondays & Wednesdays; 8:00 am – 7:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays; and 8:00 am – 4:30 pm on Fridays. The ideal candidate will be flexible to work early morning schedules and late evening schedules to accommodate hours of operation of the facility.
Responsibilities
- Administer physical therapy treatments and procedures under the supervision of a physical therapist.
- May assist in the development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, and document the progress of treatment within the scope of treatment plans established by a physical therapist.
- Provide age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers.
- Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.
Qualifications
- Associate Level Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
