Physical Therapy Assistant
About the Role
We are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our Home Health Team in Lee County. In this role, there is a real impact in the comfort of patients' homes. As part of our compassionate, high‑performing care team, you will provide skilled therapy services under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility, function, and independence.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Implement treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and assistive device training.
- Educate patients and families on techniques to improve functional skills and independence.
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and interventions.
- Adhere to strict infection control guidelines to protect both patients and healthcare workers.
Requirements
- Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Florida.
- Minimum of 6 months in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or rehab required.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to providing quality care.
- Reliable transportation to visit patients in their homes.
