About the role

The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to provide therapeutic services to patients in their homes. The position requires a strong understanding of musculoskeletal, neuro-muscular, cardiovascular, respiratory, and integument systems.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the patient’s established plan of care
  • Preserve functional capacity or re-establish function in various body systems
  • Develop or restore muscle strength, coordination, endurance, range of motion, and motor skills
  • Provide relief from pain and improve mobility
  • Maintain high standards of care as per the Physical Therapy profession
  • Communicate effectively with all members of the care team
  • Organize tasks efficiently to ensure timely and effective patient care

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school specific to Physical Therapy
  • Current PA professional license
  • Minimum one year of experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Reliable vehicle
  • Proof of Auto Insurance
  • Possess the ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Possess the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the care team
  • Possess good organizational skills
  • Possession of the Influenza (Flu) Vaccination or an approved Medical or Religious exemption
  • Experience in Physical Therapy: 1+ years

Qualifications

  • PA Physical Therapy License (Preferred)
