About the role
The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to provide therapeutic services to patients in their homes. The position requires a strong understanding of musculoskeletal, neuro-muscular, cardiovascular, respiratory, and integument systems.
Responsibilities
- Follow the patient’s established plan of care
- Preserve functional capacity or re-establish function in various body systems
- Develop or restore muscle strength, coordination, endurance, range of motion, and motor skills
- Provide relief from pain and improve mobility
- Maintain high standards of care as per the Physical Therapy profession
- Communicate effectively with all members of the care team
- Organize tasks efficiently to ensure timely and effective patient care
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school specific to Physical Therapy
- Current PA professional license
- Minimum one year of experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Reliable vehicle
- Proof of Auto Insurance
- Possess the ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Possess the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the care team
- Possess good organizational skills
- Possession of the Influenza (Flu) Vaccination or an approved Medical or Religious exemption
- Experience in Physical Therapy: 1+ years
Qualifications
