Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Auxiliary patients with therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation activities.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and traction as directed.
• Instruct patients in proper exercise techniques and use of assistive devices.
• Maintain patient responses to treatment and report progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Auxiliary patients with gait training, balance activities, transfers, and mobility exercises.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and treatment recommendations.
• Document patient treatments, progress, and responses in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Maintain accurate and timely treatment notes in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate patient status changes and treatment outcomes to the supervising Physical Therapist.

Licensure/Certification

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of practice.

Pay

$60,320.00 - $71,760.00 per year
