Responsibilities
- Provide rehabilitative services to residents with mental, physical, psychosocial, and/or developmental impairments under the direction of a licensed physical therapist.
- Maintain expected productivity and efficiency as set by the Director of Rehab or Administrator.
- Monitor therapy services to ensure correct performance and provide encouragement as needed.
- Maintain patient physical therapy records, including resident progress and daily notes.
- Generate revenue by recording billing information for services rendered.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following facility policies and procedures.
- Keep therapy equipment operational by following instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and requesting repairs.
- Adhere to professional standards, policies, and federal, state, and local requirements to uphold the physical therapy practice.
- Enhance the physical therapy practice by accepting new responsibilities and exploring opportunities to add value.
Requirements
- Current Texas licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
