What You'll Do
- Under physicians orders and in collaboration with supervising physical therapist, treat patients.
- Absorb and follow treatment and therapy plans recommended by physical therapist to suit the individual needs of a diverse population of patients including short- and long-term goals.
- Prepare therapy material and/or equipment for use in therapy activities; adapt or modify instructional materials and/or equipment as determined by patients needs and abilities.
- Help to educate patients, parents, and caregivers.
- Report patient progress and status to appropriate parties including family members, caregiver, or medical professional.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Hold an applicable and current, unrestricted license.
- Excellent communication skills: oral and written.
- An individual who thrives on being part of a team, working alongside other disciplines, as needed.
