About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate physical therapist assistant to join our woman-SLP-owned team in Boston. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help students recover from injuries, improve mobility, and enhance their overall physical function in a school setting. This position runs until January with the potential to extend 1–2 months.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans and goals for patients.
- Monitor student progress and report changes to the supervising therapist.
- Educate students and their families on rehabilitation techniques and home exercise programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of progress notes.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes.
Requirements
- Valid Massachusetts physical therapy assistant license.
- Knowledge of medical terminology for effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Experience working with geriatric populations is preferred, particularly in skilled nursing facilities or acute care settings.
- Familiarity with physical therapy practices and a strong understanding of anatomy to assist in developing treatment strategies.
- Previous experience in schools is beneficial.

$60–70/hour.
