Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and equipment for treatment
• Implements prescribed therapy plans
• Makes observations and records patient progress
• Maintains a positive and professional relationship with patients, doctors, and staff

Requirements

• Graduate of and have a certificate from an American Physical Therapy Association-approved program for Physical Therapist Assistant
• Must be able to apply the theory of Physical Therapy
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service
• Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Must have strong problem-solving, problem prevention, and decision-making skills
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to maintain composure and restore calm in a stressful situation
• Must be able to convey empathy
• Must have the ability and competency to operate the equipment of his or her position and perform technical procedures
• Must be able to protect and maintain confidential patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
