Physical Therapy Aide

About the Role

The Physical Therapy Aide performs designated routine tasks to support the operation of the physical therapy service. They may assist the physical therapist in setting up patients for therapy and/or helping carry out treatment programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency
• Certification as a Nurse’s Aide
• Ability to follow complex directions
• Physical strength sufficient to assist patients with rehabilitative therapies (e.g., weight transfer, gait training)
• Empathetic communication skills with patients and family members in support of rehabilitative goals
