Physical Therapy Aide

Daily Tasks and General Guidelines

• Engage with patients to make them feel comfortable and on task.
• Read the room and anticipate patient needs.
• Be proactive and ask questions to be helpful.
• Move around the clinic space to assist patients.
• Know patients' names, faces, and what they are being seen for.
• Talk to patients to build rapport and remember information for future conversations.
• Pay attention to how sessions go and provide feedback or suggestions for scheduling.
• Stay out from behind the computer and be comfortable with physical touch and close proximity to patients.
• Practice good customer service skills when answering the phone.
