Physical Therapist - Weekend Option - Acute

About the role

SSM Health DePaul Health Center is seeking a Full Time Licensed Physical Therapist to join the rehabilitation team at DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, MO. This position follows a Weekend Option schedule: Thursday through Sunday.

The DePaul Ministry of SSM Health is accredited by The Joint Commission as a Center of Excellence for Total Joint Replacement and a Comprehensive Center of Excellence for Stroke. The diverse and progressive therapy department participates in research and program advancement throughout the 450-bed hospital, fostering teamwork and individualized, compassionate patient care in a community hospital atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
• Ensures design of functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities.
• Serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with patient care, development of discipline-specific therapy services, and design of program delivery.

Requirements

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion within the first 90 days of employment required.
