About the role

This is a full-time role that requires consistent availability on one weekend day per week (sample schedule of Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday)

Responsibilities

  • Synthesize pertinent information from a patient's referral, medical records, imaging, intake forms and subjective history taking.
  • Diagnose movement dysfunction via functional movement, posture and gait analysis, self guided internal pelvic floor examinations, objective measurements and listening to patients concerns and goals via a HIPAA compliant two-way audio-video communication platform.
  • Use critical thinking to develop individualized plans of care for patients to include the patient's goals and expected outcomes of the plan.
  • Utilize evidence-based interventions such as therapeutic exercise, self care, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic activities and other self-guided modalities to achieve patients' goals.
  • Evaluate and document patient progress, utilize outcome measures to drive results and modify the plan of care as needed.
  • Educate patients about what to expect from the recovery process and how to cope with challenges throughout the process.
  • Follow up with patients to ensure better adherence to plan of care.
  • Connect with providers and local organizations to increase awareness of therapies provided by the clinic and ensure that as many patients as possible that need care are able to receive it.
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of California or Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Texas with eligibility for PT compact licensure.
  • 2 years of in-person experience in Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy.
  • 2 additional Physical Therapy Licenses in desired states in which Origin delivers clinical care (three total).
  • Passionate about delivering care via telehealth.
  • Bonus points for experience delivering Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy via telehealth.
  • Eligible for PT compact licensure.
