Physical Therapist (Travel) - PT

About the role

The Physical Therapist - Journey Traveler provides nationwide travel-based therapy services, assessing patients, developing, and delivering personalized rehabilitation programs. They identify patient needs, make referrals to other disciplines, and instruct patients and caregivers to promote independence and health. Supervision of support personnel is required as per licensure standards. The role involves ensuring efficient service delivery, adhering to care plans, documenting treatments, and participating in team meetings.

Responsibilities

• Assess, develop, and implement individualized physical therapy programs.
• Make referrals to other healthcare disciplines.
• Supervise therapy assistants, students, and support staff as permitted.
• Ensure timely documentation and adherence to care plans.
• Promote patient safety and comfort, and maintain equipment.
• Evaluate patient progress, modify treatment plans, and educate patients and caregivers.
• Perform therapeutic techniques such as exercise, manual therapy, modalities, and functional training.
• Design and fit adaptive devices and train patients in their use.
• Maintain a safe environment and uphold quality patient care standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid Physical Therapy license in applicable states or eligibility.
• Master’s degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent, or a Bachelor’s with extensive experience.
• Ability to travel and reside temporarily in different locations.
• Evaluation of foreign degrees to meet U.S. standards if applicable.
