Physical Therapist Resident - Outpatient

About the Role

A motivated and patient-centered Physical Therapist Resident is sought to join an outpatient rehabilitation team. This position is ideal for new graduates or early-career clinicians eager to develop skills through structured mentorship and clinical education. You will participate in a comprehensive program to enhance evidence-based practice, differential diagnosis, and manual therapy, treating diverse patient populations under experienced faculty supervision.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients using various therapeutic interventions.
• Coordinate care and promote patient independence.
• Adhere to setting regulations and standards.
• Engage in interdisciplinary communication and discharge planning.
• Advocate for patients and participate in professional development activities, including didactic lectures, research, and mentorship.

Requirements

• New Mexico Physical Therapist license.
• Bachelor’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• Enrollment in a residency program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Less than one year of professional experience.

Pay

Compensation ranges from $26.21 to $40.03 per hour.
